Motivation (Examiner for PLAB 2 Mocks)

To say PLAB 2 is a challenging exam is an understatement, especially to those unfamiliar with UK practice or the UK National Health Service system, as I once was. No matter how good you think you are at taking history and diagnosis, it will be pointless if you cannot apply it to UK standards of care. Before I was a teacher, I was a student not too long ago, and wanted to help others reach the other side, and learn as much from them as I hope they can from in their pursuit of practicing in the UK. Respect the exam and the effort and dedication it takes to pass, and the exam will respect your hard work back, as I’ve learned firsthand.

Motivation (Tutor/Mentor)

I’ve been fortunate enough in my medical school and postgraduate adventures to study and practice medicine all over the world, from my native USA to the UK, Japan, and even Australia. I’ve become known to many around the world as “The Medical Nomad”. As such, I’ve seen all types of disease and had to familiarize myself with multiple medical systems and guidelines. I even learned Japanese to work and study in Tokyo. Now, after all that experience and ongoing journey, and passing both USMLE and PLAB, I want to pay it forward and help as many fellow IMGs reach whatever destination they so choose. I hope to pass the “Ishi Kokka Shiken” or Japanese National License Exam one day and spread neurology knowledge from the US to UK to Japan, my 3 top countries in the world. Let’s work together to get you to your final medical and life destination, wherever it may be.
