Dr. Aya Akhras​

Dr. Aya Akhras is a PGY-2 Internal Medicine Resident at HCA Florida Aventura Hospital, Florida, USA. After earning her MBBS in 2022, Dr. Akhras spent a year at Mayo Clinic, MN as a gastroenterology research fellow while applying for the match. She successfully navigated the competitive process of applying for residency in the U.S. as an international medical graduate (IMG). She is passionate about mentoring medical students who aspire to become US-trained physicians. Dr. Akhras offers guidance on ERAS applications, USMLE exam preparation, and all aspects of pursuing post-graduate training in the USA, helping others achieve their career goals with her firsthand experience and expertise.
